Online Training Tool
The SEED project, Strengthening the operational effectiveness of EWCs in developing and implementing strategies for dispute prevention and resolution between workers and central management at multinational corporations, includes, among other, the development of a tool for designing an e-learning platform aimed at ‘ensuring that European Works Council members actively participate in the learning process and significantly improve their skills in performing their duties within multinational corporations.’
In addition to the main objective, other specific aims have also been set, such as consolidating the knowledge acquired through interactive elements and knowledge tests, as well as improving the capabilities of European Works Councils by presenting strategies to increase their effectiveness and enable them to play a more decisive role in decision-making and crisis prevention processes.
To achieve these objectives, an e-learning platform was designed, containing three thematic blocks developed during different lessons. At the end of each topic, there is a short quiz that participants must complete, which aims to consolidate the most important information acquired within the topic.

The content of the lessons and thematic blocks should enable:
- familiarisation with EU law, regulatory frameworks, and systems governing employee participation, in particular European Works Councils;
- provide information on the green and digital transition processes and their impact on employees’ working conditions;
- introduce the management and resolution of conflicts caused by the twin transition to help members of European Works Councils prevent conflicts and resolve disputes, promoting a good working atmosphere in multinational companies.
